Something For Everyone

Our next sale of Cycling and Cycling Memorabilia will be held on Saturday 26th September 2009 at Cut Elms Farm, Aythorpe Roding, Essex

TCA sales are now very much part of the veteran cycling calendar, attracting worldwide buyers and enthusiasts from the Antipodes, America, Holland, Germany, France, Denmark, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Our April sale in Somerset achieved excellent results for vendors and provided a good range of interesting artefacts to suit every pocket; from boxes of saddles and hub gears selling for under £50 to an Ellis & Co., ‘Facile’, which made £9500. Of the 360 lots offered, 95% found new homes.

Already consigned to our September sale is a large collection of original artwork, to include works by, Isaac Cruikshank, William Rainey, and Rudolph Hagen, and a collection of colour images and pen and ink studies by Frank Patterson. There are several collections of postcards, décor items, badges and bicycle lamps, among which is a delightful early Salsbury Safety Lamp. The bicycles entered so far include examples of Royal Enfield, Rudge Whitworth, Kirk, Sunbeam, Dursley Pedersen and Dan Rudge.

Unlike other auction houses, TCA are prepared to consign single items or large ephemeral collections with no minimum charges, storage costs or cataloguing fees. To consign to this important sale or to talk about current values and market buoyancy please telephone the auctioneer, Peter Card, on 01460 55955.
